The latest version of HB 474 adds specific amounts for fees that the Lamar County Commission can charge. For example, it establishes a fee of $50 for personal service of civil documents by the sheriff. This change is important because it gives county officials clear authority to set these fees, which could help generate additional revenue for local services.
