The updated version of Bill HB 435 now includes an increase in supplemental compensation for election inspectors and clerks, who will receive a daily minimum of $100 and $75 respectively. This change is significant because it aims to ensure fairer pay for those working in elections, potentially attracting more individuals to these important roles. Additionally, local governments will need to spend more, which requires careful financial consideration.
