One local official from each of the congressional districts appointed by the commissioner from a list of three recommendations per district submitted by the Association of Page 1 HB399 Engrossed Alabama Tax Administrators.
(2) If the Association of Alabama Tax Administrators Page 1 HB399 Enrolled fails to timely submit a list of recommendations for appointment to the committee, the commissioner may appoint a local official from that respective congressional district.
Page 2 HB399 Engrossed (e) The committee shall hold its first meeting no later than October 1, 2023.
