The updated version of Bill HB 175 has added a section that clarifies how funding for the one-time refundable income tax credit will be managed. Specifically, it states that the state Comptroller will direct funds from the Education Trust Fund to cover both the payments for the credits and any administrative costs. This change is important because it ensures there is a clear funding mechanism in place to support the tax credits for qualified taxpayers, potentially making it easier for them to receive this financial relief.
