Under existing law, the Limestone County Board of Registrars may meet a maximum of 167 working days each fiscal year.
This bill would increase the number of working days that the Limestone County Board of Registrars may meet to a maximum of five working days each week.
A BILL TO BE ENACTED AN ACT To amend Section 17-3-8, Code of Alabama 1975, as last amended by Act 2022-112 of the 2022 Regular Session, relating to meeting days of boards of registrars;
"§17-3-8 (a) Each member of the board of registrars in the Counties of Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Escambia, Geneva, Page 1 HB112 INTRODUCED Lowndes, Perry, Sumter, and Wilcox may meet a maximum of 120 working days each fiscal year;
each Page 1 HB112 Enrolled member of the board of registrars in the Counties of Coffee, Talladega, and Tallapoosa may meet a maximum of 220 working days each fiscal year, except that in Talladega County the board of registrars may meet up to an additional 30 session days each fiscal year, at the discretion of the chair of the county commission;
