The amendments to Bill SB 211 allow special needs children of active duty military personnel to enroll remotely in public K-12 schools, alongside simplifying the record transfer process. Additionally, the bill now requires parental consent before any reevaluation of a special needs student is conducted. These changes are significant as they ensure that families in transition due to military orders can access schooling more smoothly and that special needs children receive appropriate support with parental involvement.
