06-Mar-24 Page 0 SB202 Enrolled Enrolled, An Act, 3 Relating to animals;
Under existing law, animals that are killed or otherwise die must be burned or buried within 24 hours of death.
This bill would further provide the methods by which these animals may be disposed.
A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT Relating to animals;
"§3-1-28 All owners or custodians of animals which that die or are killed in their his or her possession or custody, other than such as are those slaughtered for food, within 24 hours shall cause the bodies of such animals to be burned or burn, buried bury at least two feet below the surface of the ground, or otherwise dispose of the animals' bodies in accordance with Page 1 SB202 INTRODUCED Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries rules.
