The updated version of Bill SB 70 now includes detailed guidelines for the Coalition Against Domestic Violence on how to manage the funds they receive. Specifically, the bill states that before any of the $169,633 is released, the Coalition must submit an operations plan for the upcoming fiscal year along with an audited financial statement for the previous year. This change is important because it ensures accountability and transparency in how the allocated funds are used, ultimately helping to maximize their effectiveness in supporting domestic violence prevention efforts.
