The amendment to Bill HB 445 adds specific details about the new annual fee for motor vehicle tags in Marengo County. It clarifies that the fee can be up to $5 and outlines the timing for when this fee is due, ensuring it's collected only once a year per vehicle. These changes matter because they provide a clearer framework for how the fee will work and help the county manage revenue from motor vehicle registrations more effectively.
