The updated version of HB 421 clarifies the definition of what constitutes a "polygraph device," explicitly stating that it does not include equipment for computer voice stress analysis. Additionally, it includes some technical revisions to the language for clarity without changing the substance of the law. These changes are important because they help ensure that regulations are clearly defined and understood, which can improve the practice and oversight of polygraph examinations in Alabama.
