Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 252 includes provisions regarding who can obtain pistol permits for free. Specifically, service members, retired or honorably discharged military veterans, and law enforcement officers can now apply for permits without any fees. This change is significant because it recognizes the service of these individuals and makes it easier for them to obtain permits to carry pistols, thereby enhancing their rights and access to necessary resources.
