What changed in the latest version

The updated version of Bill HB 215 includes the addition of language that specifies the goal of allowing dredging for residential living shorelines to happen at a reduced fee. This change is significant because it aims to promote more sustainable shoreline restoration practices, such as using natural materials instead of hard structures like seawalls. By making it more affordable to use dredged materials from private properties, the bill supports environmental conservation and coastal resilience efforts.
