What changed in the latest version

The updated version of Bill HB 73 introduces a key change by enforcing a cap on the increase of assessed property values for Class II and Class III properties. Specifically, the assessed value for these properties can only rise by a maximum of seven percent each year following a county-wide reappraisal. This change is significant because it aims to provide property owners with more predictable tax assessments, potentially making it easier for them to manage their financial planning amidst rising property values.
