The latest version of Bill HB 69 now allows up to two employees of a licensed dentist to access the Controlled Substances Prescription Database on behalf of the dentist. This change is important because it enables dental practices to better manage and track controlled substances, similar to what is already permitted for physicians. By broadening access, the bill aims to enhance patient safety and ensure responsible prescribing practices in dental care.
