Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Senate Bill 722 introduces specific weight limits for vehicles transporting grain, feed, or fertilizer, allowing them to carry up to 91,000 pounds with a special permit costing $325. This change streamlines the permit process through the Department of Transportation (DOT) while ensuring that vehicles can only operate on designated highways or with approval from maintenance officials on other roads. These updates are significant because they provide clearer regulations for agricultural transport, which can help farmers and producers manage their logistics more efficiently and reduce costs.
