The recent amendments to Bill SB 282 change the composition of the Board of Nursing in Wisconsin. The board will now include three licensed registered nurses, one licensed practical nurse, one advanced practice nurse prescriber, one nurse educator, and two public members. This change is significant because it adds specialized roles like the advanced practice nurse and nurse educator, ensuring that the board has a broader perspective on nursing education and practice, which could enhance the quality of nursing regulation in the state.
