What changed in the latest version
38 added · 17 removedPlain-language change summary
The new version of SB 191 clarifies how subpoenas should be served to law enforcement officers by specifying that they must be delivered to the officer's work address. Additionally, it defines what is meant by "work address" as the primary location where the officer was employed when the relevant events took place. These changes make the process more precise and protect officers' personal addresses from being disclosed during legal procedures. This matters because it helps ensure the privacy and safety of law enforcement personnel while maintaining the integrity of the legal process.
