Plain-language change summary

The proposed changes to Bill AB 294 adjust the composition of the Board of Nursing. The new version reduces the number of registered nurse members from five to three, adds a certified advanced practice nurse prescriber, and includes a nurse educator. This matters because it aims to diversify the board and ensure that it includes various perspectives, thereby potentially improving the regulation and oversight of nursing practices in the state.
