The amendment to HR 689 updates the text to clarify the transfer of administrative jurisdiction over specific federal lands between the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. It details the land descriptions included in both the transfer to the Bureau of Land Management and the return of some lands to the Forest Service, referencing a specific map for clarity. This change matters because it specifies the boundaries and management responsibilities for these lands, impacting how they will be administered in the future.
