The recent amendment to Bill B 25-0587 adds a new definition for "prevailing wage," which specifies the wage that workers should receive when employed on underground utility work by gas or electric companies. This change is significant because it sets a clear standard for what workers should be paid, potentially improving wages for those in this sector and ensuring fair compensation for their labor. By including wage enforcement measures, the legislation aims to hold employers accountable and protect workers' rights.
