The bill PR 25-0803 has been amended to confirm the appointment of David Meadows to the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Board, with the resolution now detailing his term end date of May 7, 2028. The previous version included a letter from Mayor Muriel Bowser nominating Meadows, but this has been removed to streamline the resolution and focus on the confirmation itself. This change matters because it simplifies the process for approving the appointment, signaling that the Council is ready to move forward with confirming Meadows without additional documentation.
