th WHEREAS, now, in 2024, we celebrate the 100 anniversary of continuing to strengthen this vital institution and its global network;
WHEREAS, we recognize the tireless efforts of the almost 17,000 professionals serving across six6 different United States agencies both overseas and within our borders, and honor their contributions to American history and global progress;
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, thatThat this resolution may be cited as the “United States Foreign Service Recognition Resolution of 2024.” Sec.
The Council of the District of Columbia hereby honors and recognizesrecognized the US Foreignforeign Service on a century of leadership and commitment to the ideals of democracy and freedom.
This resolution shall take effect immediatelyimmediately. upon the first date of publication in the District of Columbia Register.
