Plain-language change summary

The bill has been updated to extend the real property tax abatement for the United Negro College Fund for another ten years, now starting on October 1, 2024, instead of 2023. Additionally, the maximum amount eligible for the abatement has increased from $500,000 in the earlier version to $515,000 for tax year 2025. This change is important because it provides greater financial support to the organization, which can use the savings to further its educational mission and support students.
