The latest version of the bill postpones the increase in the tipped minimum wage from January 1, 2023, to May 1, 2023. This change allows more time for businesses and workers to prepare for the wage increase. Additionally, some sections regarding funding and collective bargaining rights were removed, focusing the bill specifically on the wage adjustment. This matters because it streamlines the legislation, making it clearer and more focused on the immediate wage issue.
