Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill B 25-0643 clarify the authority of the Department of Small and Local Business Development to issue grants specifically for entrepreneurs and businesses in Ward 8. The changes specify the amounts for grants and microloans, allowing up to $5,000 for startup costs and up to $10,000 for businesses that have been operating for at least one year. This matters because it provides more targeted financial assistance to support local entrepreneurs in Ward 8, helping to foster economic growth and sustainability in the area.
