The recent amendment to the Open Meetings Act allows public bodies more flexibility in how they conduct open meetings. Specifically, if it's not possible to provide live viewing or listening access to the meeting, they now must ensure that the public can access a recording as soon as feasible after it concludes. This change helps to ensure that even if technology fails at the moment, the public can still engage with the content of the meeting, supporting transparency and accountability.
