Plain-language change summary

The latest version of the bill has removed a section that aimed to amend the District of Columbia Housing Authority Act of 1999, specifically to clarify that the Housing Authority must follow the District’s procurement laws. Instead, the current resolution only approves some of the proposed procurement regulations without making that legislative change. This matters because it simplifies the resolution and focuses on immediate approval of regulations rather than altering existing laws, which could speed up the implementation of new rules for how the Housing Authority handles procurement.
