Plain-language change summary

The updated bill has shifted its focus from a proposed resolution to an enrolled resolution, allowing for the immediate approval of the Flexible Rent Subsidy Pilot Program rules rather than waiting until September 2024. This change is significant because it enables the program to start sooner, addressing the urgent need for rental assistance for eligible households, especially those with young adults aged 18 to 21. Essentially, this means help will be available faster to those who need it most during the economic challenges they may face.
