What changed in the latest version

The latest version of the bill modifies a previous resolution regarding the enforcement powers of the Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV). Specifically, it clarifies the need to pass emergency legislation to smoothly transition from an existing emergency act to a temporary act without any gaps in enforcement authority over carrier-for-hire vehicles. This change is important because it ensures that there are no lapses in monitoring and regulating traffic laws for these vehicles, which is crucial for public safety and efficient transportation services.
