Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to the funding formula for D.C. public schools ensures that each school receives at least as much funding in the 2021-2022 school year as it did in the previous year. This change is important because it aims to provide financial stability for schools during a challenging time, helping them to maintain programs and resources for students. The amendment also specifies that schools that are reducing grade levels may receive less funding, which allows for flexibility based on their specific circumstances. Overall, this change seeks to protect educational funding and support schools effectively.
