Plain-language change summary

The amendment allows the Office of the Inspector General to conduct reviews and investigations of the District of Columbia Housing Authority without needing prior approval from the Council. This change is significant because it empowers the Inspector General to act more independently and promptly address potential issues within the Housing Authority, enhancing oversight and accountability. This kind of direct oversight can help prevent corruption and ensure better use of public resources.
