Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to the police officer cadet program now allows applicants who have not graduated from District high schools to qualify for the program. This change aims to broaden opportunities for individuals in the community, particularly those who may have faced challenges in completing high school. By removing the graduation requirement, the Metro Police Department can attract and train a more diverse group of applicants, potentially leading to a better reflection of the community it serves.
