Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HM 13 now specifically requests the Secretary of Public Safety to create a working group focused on establishing a law enforcement and first responder training center in northern New Mexico. This change is significant because it highlights the need for specialized training that is relevant to the unique communities in that region, ensuring that officers and first responders are better equipped to serve effectively. By addressing the lack of training opportunities in northern New Mexico, the bill aims to improve public safety and community trust in law enforcement.
