Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Senate Bill 72 adjust how annual tax payments are calculated for electric generation and transmission facilities. It also clarifies that these tax payments must be made by the project proposer and allows for sharing these payments among certain school districts. This change is significant because it ensures that local schools might benefit financially from these projects, supporting education while providing a clearer process for tax responsibilities.
