Plain-language change summary

The updated version of House File 2360 increases the age threshold for certain driver's license expiration rules from seventy-two to seventy-eight. This means that older drivers will have more flexibility with their license renewal, as licenses for those who are eighty or over will now expire eight years after issuance instead of six years. Additionally, licenses for those seventy-eight and older will now be valid for only two years instead of previously being valid until their seventy-fourth birthday. These changes reflect a focus on both safety for older drivers and ensuring that licenses are kept up to date in regard to health and vision in a more reasonable timeframe.
