Summary

Existing law requires the Undersecretary of Veterans Affairs be appointed and their salary established by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs pursuant to law. Existing law requires the secretary to appoint a Deputy Secretary of Women Veterans Affairs. This bill would create, and would require the secretary to appoint, a Deputy Secretary of Minority and Underrepresented Veterans Affairs.
