What changed in the latest version
78 added · 36 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of the bill now removes provisions about submitting a report to congressional committees and completing the study within five years. It focuses solely on awarding a grant, contract, or cooperative agreement to conduct a study on human health impacts related to a specific train incident, and establishes a requirement for annual updates until the report is submitted. This change simplifies the process and emphasizes ongoing monitoring of health impacts rather than setting a fixed timeline for completion.
