The bill language now states a prohibition on using credit information for most employment decisions, whereas the earlier version described this prohibition as a ban. Additionally, the amended text clarifies that the amendments do not limit the use of non-financial or non-credit related consumer report information. This change may impact how employers consider consumer reports in hiring, ensuring that credit information is less likely to influence employment decisions.
