The bill now specifies that agencies must reduce their potable water consumption intensity by 2 percent each fiscal year based on fiscal year 2007 levels. Additionally, it requires agencies to reduce their industrial, landscaping, and agricultural water consumption by 2 percent each fiscal year compared to fiscal year 2010. The amendment also introduces a requirement for agencies to install infrastructure features to improve stormwater and wastewater management. These changes emphasize both incremental reductions in water consumption and infrastructure improvements to manage water resources more effectively.
