Plain-language change summary

The amendment modifies a section of the bill concerning the updating of environmental sensitivity index products for Great Lakes coastal areas. Specifically, it removes the reference to assessing coastal or offshore resources prior to an oil spill event. This change focuses the bill solely on the requirement for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to update its sensitivity products, which may alter the scope of how these updates are implemented and the context in which they are applied.
