Plain-language change summary

The amended version of H.J. Res. 99 specifies "May 5, 2017" as the new date for a provision regarding health benefits for miners. Additionally, it designates the section as the "Further Continued Health Benefits for Miners Act" and clarifies that beneficiaries enrolled in the Plan as of the enactment date will be considered eligible for health benefits starting January 1, 2017. The final change indicates that certain provisions of a previous law will apply to this section. These changes aim to clarify eligibility and ensure continued access to health benefits for miners.
