Such approach shall provide comprehensive developmentally appropriate services and supports that are linguistically and culturally appropriate and trauma-informed, and incorporate developmentally appropriate strategies of positive behavioral interventions and supports. A comprehensive school-based mental health program funded under this section shall assist children in dealing with traumatic experiences, grief, bereavement, risk of suicide, and violence.The new text establishes a framework for comprehensive school-based mental health services focused on trauma-informed care and positive behavioral interventions.
