The changes to HR 1235 include the addition of text that highlights the historical significance of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, detailing the achievements of its inaugural class from 1959. This added context helps to underscore the importance of the commemoration being recognized through the minting of coins. The practical effect of these additions is to provide a richer narrative around why the Hall of Fame and the individuals associated with it are being honored.
