The amendment to bill S 3897 changes the language regarding the information technology modernization plan required by the agency. It removes several requirements, including detailed assessments of costs, security standards, technology procurement principles, and expected efficiencies related to updating or modernizing legacy systems. This means the agency will no longer need to provide as much specific information in its modernization plan, potentially simplifying the reporting process.
