Plain-language change summary

The amendments to S. Res. 427 include the addition of a statement agreeing to the resolution and removing several detailed points about commitments and expectations for the Government of Cambodia. These removed lines originally highlighted the importance of free and fair elections, human rights, and the treatment of opposition figures. The change simplifies the resolution and focuses on a more general expression of support for the Cambodian people rather than specific governmental actions or obligations.
