Plain-language change summary

The amendment increases the automatic maximum coverage under the Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance and Veterans' Group Life Insurance from $400,000 to $500,000. This change affects the amount of life insurance available to servicemembers and veterans, providing them with greater financial protection. The effective date of this adjustment depends on either 60 days after the enactment of the Act or a determination by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs regarding administrative capabilities.
