The latest version of Senate Bill 366 has made some minor clarifications regarding the definitions and prohibitions related to tobacco and hemp products in public schools. Specifically, the bill now clearly states that public school units must have policies that prohibit all tobacco product use and restrict their ability to create stricter rules than those outlined in the bill. These changes matter because they help ensure a consistent approach to regulating tobacco and hemp product use across public schools, potentially contributing to healthier school environments for students.
