Rules and Operations of the Senate March 13, 2023 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO UPGRADE THE TRIANGLE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT.
There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State Budget and Management the sum of twenty-five million dollars ($25,000,000) in nonrecurring fundsforthe2023-2024 fiscal yearto provide adirectedgrant to Durham County to makeneeded upgrades to the Triangle Wastewater Treatment Plant (TWWTP), which will ensure an ongoing high level of service to client companies in the Research Triangle Park engaged in life sciences and technology arenas, including electronic chip manufacturing.
