Rules and Operations of the Senate March 7, 2023 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO REINSTATE EDUCATION-BASED SALARY SUPPLEMENTS FOR CERTAIN TEACHERS AND INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL.
(3) Teachers and instructional support personnel who (i) complete a degree at the master's, six-year, or doctoral degree level for which they completed at least onecoursepriorto August 1,2013,and (ii)would havequalifiedhavequalifiedforthe forthe salary supplement pursuant to State Board of Education policypolicyTCP-A-006, TCP-A-006, as it was in effect on June 30, 2013.
(c) Unless an individual otherwise qualifies under subdivision (2) or (3) of subsection (a) of this section, teachers and instructional support personnel who earn an advanced degree in *DRS45100-MTa-115**S202-v-1* General Assembly Of North Carolina Session 2023 school administration shall not be paid on the "M" salarysalaryschedule schedule or receive a salary supplement for academic preparation." SECTION 2.
There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction for the 2023-2024 fiscal year the sum of six million eight hundred thousand dollars($6,800,000) in recurring fundsfundsto to provideeducation-based salarysupplements for certain teachers and instructional support personnel as authorized by this act.
