Plain-language change summary

The latest version of HB 504 adds a section that emphasizes the public policy of North Carolina regarding labor rights, particularly the right to work without having to join a union. It clarifies that employees cannot be forced to become union members or pay dues as a condition of their employment. This change is significant because it reinforces workers' autonomy regarding union participation and financial obligations, potentially impacting how labor unions operate in the state.
